Last year i allowed my daughters fiance to leave his car in my drive way as they have gone to Florida

I have sold my home. he has not complied with my many requests to remove his car

The new owners do not want the car in the drive way

Re: Car in drive way

There is a provision of the Vehicle Code that allows property owners to have vehicles towed, under certain circumstances, by towing and storage operators which have proper permits and licenses for that work.

The V.C. section us 22658. Note that 22658(a)(4) allows the towing request to be made by the property owner if the property "is improved by a single family residence." This is because if there were a duplex (for example) on the property, the vehicle might belong to the other unit's occupant.

If you do hire someone to tow it and store it, ask if they have the licenses, permits and knowledge to do V.C. 22658 towing and storage. The Vehicle Code imposes many duties on the towing and storage people who do this (read all of 22658) and if you hired some incompetent or unlicensed outfit, you might get in trouble.

You can probably look at the Code on line, at a library, or maybe a DMV office.
