Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
There was a class action lawsuit against the builder of my home. I contacted the lawyer to schedule an appointment to have my home inspected but was never contacted again. Now the laywer says its too late. What can I do?

Many large class-action suits involve retaining a third-party public relations or plaintiff-relations firm to handle communications between class members, the law firm, and the court.
I'd go on line and do searches based on the name of the defendant or other key terms that might identify the suit, and look for any company or law firm that seems to be in the role of handling inquiries about the case or the settlement.
There are even Web sites that specialize in gathering and publicizing information about class-action lawsuits in general. That might be a starting point. If this particular case didn't involve enough separate parties to warrant that kind of publicity, you'll have to get whatever information you can from the law firms or the court clerk.
