Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Clause in contract

I was reading the anti speculation clause in my contract once I bought my condo. In it it says that I can't sell my condo within 12 months of purchasing it. I also noted that in the same paragraph it described what is not speculative. This included getting a job transfer more than 50 miles from buyer's residence. After reading this is it true that I can sell my condo within 12 months of purchasing it because I have a job transfer to a different city about 80 miles away. I have only had my condo for 9 months.

Re: Clause in contract

That's the way I'd interpret it. The anti-speculation clauses have kind of a hollow ring to them in a market where prices are eroding, anyway. Your bigger problem may be finding a buyer at all rather than making a speculative profit.
