Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
My complaint about The Public Storage in Goleta, California. When they put my unit on auction off on Feb 22nd, 2011. I told manager about I want to hold it until I can pick up my payroll check on Feb 28th, 2011 according to the California State Laws. They broke locks and opened look all my things without authorzation. They ignored me when I talked about Please hold on until I can pick up my payroll check that I want to paid it off on feb 28th, 2011. It's only five to six days.
This is NOT FAIR! I meant I want to buy my unit in auction again, I want it keep all my valuable things in my unit. They cut lock and open all my things.

Very likely, you authorized the storage company to recover possession of its unit and to sell the contents for unpaid rental at the time you signed the storage rental contract. Perhaps it was not fair for them to fail to give you another six days to show up with the rent, but it was also not illegal.
