contract date vs escrow date

property was purchased from family member. A contract was written and signed with a specific payment due date.(the 1st of the month) Escrow closed on different date. (the 27th of month)which payment date would be uP held in court of law. The 1st of the month or the 27th of the month ?

Based on what you have stated and no more, the date stated in your contract. The date escrow closed should be irrelevant and the contract should control.

It does not matter when escrow closes. The date for payment should be in the contract or note.
