Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Im in contract to purchase a home, the first contract was dated on 6/04/10 & supposed to close no later than 7/08/10, however we executed a new contract on 7/01/10 with no closing date. the home owner has another all cash offer and is trying to get out of our contract with the help of her personnal freind who is the title company office manager, she has been handliing our transaction. help,

You have a real mess here, and have not provided enough facts for us to even begin to sort it out. What in the world persuaded you to sign a new contract? Why no closing date? This makes no sense. The one thing I can tell you, however, is that if this is with one of the larger national title companies, you need to take this up with the office manager's county manager. If not illegal, the office manager's conduct is incredibly unprofessional. The county managers I used to work with at Fidelity National Title and Chicago Title would probably fire her on the spot for not remaining entirely neutral as the escrow holder.
