How can I get a copy of property deed for southern ca?

Also: How do I get information on the name on title of that property, and how property was taken?

I need to find this information for my grandfathers property for him, as there is something wierd going on.

You can get information on the property through the county clerk-recorder. This information is public so you would be able to determine the chain of title (current and previous owners) as well as any liens on the property.

If there is "something weird going on" I suggest you talk to an attorney to make sure you are adequately represented. Property laws and the legal process can be daunting. Please let me know if I can be of any more help.
