Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
another countrywide foreclosure question
we screwed up and so did countrywide. bottom line - the notices were not mailed to us 20 days before the trustee sale of oct. 29. the notices were mailed regular and certified on same day - october 11. we received no notice of a postponement and on oct. 29, recon trust company postpones the sale for 3 days, until november 1. do we have any recourse?
also, we have not received any notice to vacate. is this normal?

Re: another countrywide foreclosure question
You need to hire an attorney yesterday to set aside the forclosure. The real question however is what do you intend to accomplish, to set aside the forclosure will probably buy you another three months in free rent versus the attorney fee cost. Unless the trustee sale went down your right to possession is not cut off. Thus tecknically you do not become a trespasser until the trustee sale is finalized. Also in the busy LA forclosure market the lender has probably not taken notice of your possession yet.
