Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Can a Court stop a neighbor's barking dog?
I need a second opinion. I have a problem involving a neighbor who has barking dogs that are a noise nuisance. I've been told that a Court cannot order the neighbor to stop the dogs from barking because courts can only stop people from making noise nuisances such as leaf blowers, chain saws etc. and cannot order owners of animals to make their dogs stop barking all the time, which is a nuisance. I find this hard to believe. Is this true? Can't I go to court and ask for the nuisance to be stopped as opposed to suing for monetary damages? Thanks for your help.

You can get a Court Order to prevent the barking.
