Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

In a day or two I will recieve a 5 day notice to move, brought by the Sheriff I have been told.

I have also been told about "Squatters Rights" and this is my question.

Is there anything I can do when they serve me, that will help me stay in my home until I can find a place to move to?

If you don't leave when the Sheriff shows up, the Sheriff will have a new home for you, but you won't like it.
