After signing an agreement and moving in can the landlord increase my deposit?

If the agreement mentions (covers) the deposit, the landlord can't demand an increase that exceeds the amount specified in the agreement without violating the agreement. This assumes you are in full compliance. If, however, you fibbed on your credit application, or brought in pets or roommates in violation of the agreement, the landlord could justify demanding the deposit increase.
