Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

To disclose or not to disclose. That is the question.

I'll make this short. My long time tenant's son killed himself last year. It occurred in the rental. My tenant is now moving. Must I disclose this information to the next tenant?

Is there any consolation in that the kid died while enroute to the hospital?

thanks JSJ

Re: To disclose or not to disclose. That is the question.

You are only required to disclose a death that occured ON THE PROPERTY within the last 3 years. If someone asks a direct question, you must respond honestly.
