Disclosure of barking dog in house sale

We just moved into our house six months ago and the first week we moved in, the next door dog started barking in the middle of the night. If the previous owner knew about it, was she required by law to disclose this to us? If so, is there a time limit we can file suit against her for not disclosing? Is there any case precedent for this?
