Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Easement
We have own a piece of property that has a split easement next to it owned by two other property owners (neighbors); we use this to access our drivesay. Our deed says it is to be used for ''ingress and egress''. We want to know if it is legal for us to park on it (adjacent to our house) as long as we do not block the others from using it to come and go. One of our neighbors does not want it used this way.

Re: Easement
Unfortunately, the answer depends upon the exact language in the easement. I can't speculate about what's in the Deed, however, "ingress and egress" doesn't generally include parking. You can pay an attorney to research the issue thoroughly, and find a definitive answer, but the odds are probably not good that you will prevail.
