Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
My elderly mother is trying to sell her mobile home. She has had some wonderful offers, but unfortunately, perspective buyers must go through the office for approval. The 55+ park is owned by a corporation called Cal-Am, and the manager of the park has been approved as a certified realtor on the company's behalf. Cal-Am and the manager have made two (residents forced to walk away) sales with my mothers listing. 100% profit to them. My mother can not afford the $775. per month rent and I believe they are forcing her to sign her home over to them. The realtor my brother hired wanted to purchase the home before listing it, but she had a tax lien in 2002, paid off long ago, with excellent credit today, and yet was told it was a computer turn down. How can you be turned down for something that occurred 13 years ago? Are there not laws to protect the elderly from corporations like this?

Your mother needs to consult with a local real estate attorney. This is going to be too complex to solve through an online forum such as this one.
