Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

electric companys equipment failed and caused damage to my house and they will only pay for part of repairs claiming fair market value? I didnt ask them to damage my perfectly working equipment and dont think i should have to pay to repair their damage.

Well, this is the stuff of which lawsuits are made. You need to decide whether this is a small claims size case (you'd accept $7,500 or less) or a Superior Court lawsuit, then hire an attorney and fire away.
