Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Near the end of process of divorce. I have joint ownership of the house with my ex, but they refuse to pay their half of the bills, leaving me to pay it all. Is there any way for me to not have to pay their half and not have it hurt my credit?

Is this a do-it-yourself divorce? Don't let a final decree resolving property issues between your soon-to-be-ex and yourself be entered without disclosing this to the court and being sure the decree addresses these bills. A divorce decree is supposed to divide assets and liabilities of the community equally, unless the parties agree otherwise.
