Escrow paperwork
I sold a house and closed escrow. I now would like to go back and review the files - besides my paperwork, what am I legally allowed access to in terms of paperwork submitted by buyer? or on behalf of buyer? loan approvals? copies of deposit checks? etc...

You employed the broker who listed the home. I think its fair to say that his/her entire file is fair game. With respect to the escrow company, you are probably entitled (without filing a lawsuit and demanding access under subpoena) to review your "side" of the file - in other words the documents you signed and/or provided to the escrow company. As for the buyer's loan file - you will have to be able to justify why you need that information, and I can almost guarantee you will not get any of it without a subpoena. Same probably holds true for the escrow documents that only the buyer signed and/or provided. I guess I'm totally unclear, if the escrow closed, what your motivation is here?
