Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

eviction for having pets

Is it possible that I be evicted for having two cats despite the fact that in my lease (which after an intial year has become month to month) it says specifically that there are no pets allowed? The property management company is not aware that I actually have cats, I'm just curious about what might happen if ever they do.
