Re: eviction process for tennants living in a house that has been sold

Here is a partial answer. The eviction process when a property is sold is rather similar to the usual process. There are some special provisions regarding handling of tenant deposits held by the prior owner and notice of that handling to the tenant. Payments to tenants to relocate depend on local law that varies from city to city. The landlord may go to court after the 30-day notice, but the tenant may have rights and defenses. The type of rental agreement or lease may affect these rights.
