Can you tell me the laws regarding abandoned

property by let by tenants after they are evicted. What is the landlord obligated to do with the property?

Re: evictions

If the reasonable value of the property is $100 or more the landlord must store the property for the tenant. The tenant may be charged only for the costs of storage. If the tenant does not contact the landlord, and request the return of the property, the landlord must give the tenant notice. The property is then sold at auction. The costs of storage and the sale may be deducted from the sale proceeds. Any money left must be given to the tenant or to the county.
