Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Evil Landlady Taking Advantage of Young Girls!

My Ex-landlady performed the routine check of my house when the lease was up. During the check she told me and my 3 roomates that "no one can ever clean to my standards except me." She found the house to be clean, except for the blinds and that she would mail our security deposit to us soon ($800, 4 occupants, $200 each). When the check came she only sent $140 each claiming she had to spend an undisclosed amount of time cleaning the house and the purchase of cleaning supplies. She did not tell us in the walk through that there would be any additional work on the house. No cleaning receipt was sent verifying the work. The Lease says money will be removed from deposit if "there is excess wear and tear on the house." There was none. She also made us leave one day early, and did not refund our money for the missing day. Do I have a case? I want to take her to small claims court, is this a legitimate claim?
