Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

My father told me this past summer that he purposely burned a neighbors cottage on the land that they both owned jointly at the time in order to get the other guy to sell him his part. Which he did (sell out to him). The instance would have been over 10 years ago. He said no one knew because there was a forest fire at the time, and he told the forest service that he had been setting back fires to keep the larger fire away. And he boasted that they believed him. Now he and my mother are trying to make us leave this same land that we have been living on this past year (that they have said is in my name with two other siblings in some sort of LP) and sell it. They keep saying I have no rights. I am not sure if I do have legal rights or not, but want to stop this sale (they want to sell it to a land conservancy and get me to leave by the end of the month). Can I do anything with this information legally to freeze the situation?

Not enough information here. Go to the county recorder and pull the deed to the property. Then take it to a lawyer in your locality.

Definitely yes! You can take the information your father told you of the fire and threaten to tell the police unless he lets you remain on the land. That will solve your own housing problem as he will either kill you or the police will put you in jail for blackmail, a felony. You will then be frozen out of the family.
