Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
My fiance and I have leased an apartment since December 2007. Never late on rent or had complaints.
Recently, some new neighbors moved in that were very loud and we had complained about them.
Now I come home to find a notice on our door stating we have 60 days to vacate the premises; that we were not allowed to renew our lease this December. When I called to ask what this was about, they were rude and short with me and stated they didn't have to give us a reason.

You might have a lawsuit against the landlord for breach of the implied covenant of quiet enjoyment for allowing the noisy neighbors. Of course, it all depends how far you wish to take this matter.
