Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
My fiance's mother will not return my engagement ring and since he is incarcerated the police cannot make her return it even though i have a letter from my fiance addressing it to the police department stating that the ring belongs to me and she should return it. Can i hire a lawyer for this type of situation? The ring is worth a little less than $7,000.00. PLEASE HELP!
1 Answer from Attorneys
You should hire an attorney to assist you with this. A letter from an attorney demanding its return might be enough. If not, you may have to sue her to force the return of the ring.
