Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Can I file bankruptcy on an EDD Lein on Property?

The business partnership is no longer.I was awarded the business in the divorce settlement. I then incorporated. The EDD filed a lien on my home for $66,000.00. A former employee was in an auto accident. The EDD did not show up at the settlement hearing. My x-employee was awarded over $200,000.00, from the trucking company's insurance. How do I get this lien released, from my property?

We may be able to help you without bankruptcy and bankruptcy may not help you in removing the lien anyway. We will need to review all of your documentation including the lien, the divorce papers, the incorporation agreement to purchase assets, and incorporation documents. We handle cases throughout California. Please call our office at 714 363 0220.
