Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Someone is filing a legal abstract against me. My question is: can they take my cars and retirement accounts.

What do you mean by a "legal abstract"? Do you mean they have obtained a judgment and areseeking to enforce it? I believe the homestead laws might protect one car depending on how much its value is; if the retirement accounts are not yet paying you anything there is nothing to collect from them, but they might be free from attachment in any case. Check with whomever has control over the retirement accounts.
