When filing a "Notice of Withdrawal of Lis Pendens", "Request for Dismissal" State of California County of San Mateo what is the difference between

'with prejudice" or without prejudice?

"With prejudice" means you are dismissing your complaint and have no ability to refile the same action against the same parties for the same reasons raised originally in the complaint. "Without prejudice" means you may be able to refile and serve a new complaint against the same parties as previously sued for the same issues if you're still within the statute of limitations governing the claim.
