this is a follow up question
i had a automatic gate close on my truck.at my sisters apartment.
i was dropping off furniture. my sister's bf came to the gate with the clicker to let me in the apartment.i barely got half way in before the gate closed on the cab of the truck.i found out the clicker only opens the gate and cannot close it.
this place don't look like its up to code on maintenance.
the only thing i was doing is to drop off the furniture and i have 4 witness's that watch the whole thing
just seeing if i got a case in small claims court

I doubt you have a good case for two reasons:
(1) Somehow or other, you'd have to prove that the descent of the gate onto your truck cab was unexpected, premature and someone else's fault; and
(2) That you suffered damages as a consequence........I note you make no mention of what harm the contact of the gate with your truck did to your truck. Quite possibly the gate got the worst of it.
