Forclosure

I have a friend that is in forclosure and she has been told she has a week to move out. She has a 5 year old child and need more time to find an appartment. Does she have the time?

Re: Forclosure

If she does not move out within the period specified in a written notice, then the bank may bring a lawsuit against her, called an unlawful detainer suit. She must file an answer to the lawsuit with the court within 5 days after being served. Then a trial will be set. In the interim, she might be able to negotiate for more time or payment to move out before a lawsuit is necessary.
