With the economic climate the way it is now, try again to approach the lender and see if they'll help you keep the house by reducing your monthly payments. BofA/Countrywide supposedly is doing this now, and that might be the industry standard within a short time. They're looking to make loans productive rather than being stuck with empty houses and no income for them.
