Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I have a grant deed of a deceased uncle and the property has probably been auctioned for taxes, what happens to the mineral rights to the property, or who gets them or do we have any recourse on the mineral rights.

Check with a real estate attorney who is more specialized with this issue but I believe that mineral rights go with the property and so if the property has been auctioned off, you do not have rights to them any more.

The mineral rights go with the property if the mineral estate has not been previously severed. Either way you do not have any interest in the mineral rights because they either still belong to the previous owner of the mineral estate or they now belong to the tax sale purchaser.
