Grant Deed Search

Does anyone know of an online service (free or fee based) that will do deed searches?

Re: Grant Deed Search

It depends upon what you mean by "deed search."

If you're looking for properties owned by someone,

try KnowX.com. More information can be had from

Lexis-Nexis, but you'll have to get it from a

subscriber. If you only know the property address

and you want a title profile, you can get one from

almost any title company. I get them for $150 from

Advance Title Research in Castro Valley.

Re: Grant Deed Search

I don't know of any such service offered on-line

just yet.

I normally get copies of deeds from the title

company I do business with. If the property is

in Los Angeles county, I'd be happy to order

documents for you. The title company prepares

property profiles for me at no charge, so there

would be no charge to you.

Feel free to e-mail or Fax me the details. Please

be aware of a few caveats. I can't get a "chain of

title" report, showing the history of ownership

for free. Also, I'd be gathering documents for

you as an accomodation, not as your hired counsel, and

I could give no guarantee of the accuracy of the

information which I receive from the title company.

With those in mind, feel free to contact me.

Otherwise, if you know a real estate broker, they

might be able to help.

Regards,

TWN
