Hello,

If a property owner has passed away and probate has not been initiated, can you keep paying the homeowners insurance and would they pay a claim, should it become necessary, to the estate of the deceased?

The property is not going to be covered if you stop paying.

Further, delaying the initiation of probate proceedings is to no one's benefit. Place the estate in the hands of the court ASAP.
