Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Home contract

When I signed ppwk for my home, I informed them that I wanted the borrowers protection for unemployment, disability and accidental death. The person that did my paperwork and the escrow officer both told me I was covered for all 3. I was laid off from my job on July 10, 2008. I called to submit a claim and was informed that I was not covered for unemployment. I recieved a copy of the contract and it showed in one area that I was only covered for disability and accidental death. I have spoken to my realitor as well as the person that originated my loan ppwk. They both agreed that I signed up for both. The person that completed my ppwk called borrowers protection dept. and told them there was an error on the bank's side. They said they would have to take it to their legal dept. He said because the contract is over 6 months old there's probably nothing they can do. What are my rights? There was an error in my paperwork. I was told by the 2 people in charge of this paperwork that I was signing for all 3. I have been under the impression for the past 10 months I was covered in these areas. Please help!!

Re: Home contract

Who cares what they "told" you. What does it say in the written contract or other paperwork that you signed?
