Re: home loan -ameriquest

Being recognized as a member of a class entitled to sue and obtain relief in a particular action is ultimately up to the court in which the action is to be tried, but as a practical matter, the law firm representing the class has effective day-to-day control of who is "in" and who is "out" as a member of the class.

Further, it's usually pretty easy to find out who the law firm is, and to contact them about being a member of the plaintiff class. These law firms make an outreach effort to contact potential class members. Most of this is via the Web.

Try search engines such as Google, using search terms including the name of the defendant and the words "class action" and perhaps "plaintiff" or "law firm." My experience is that with a little patience, you will find a phone number or e-mail address for a lawyer or law clerk at the plaintiffs' firm that can help you sign on, or tell you why you don't fit the definition of the particular class they are representing.
