If you have a home modification and you signed all the papers and have made 4 payments can they legally back out your payments and foreclose on my home pg&e sent a cancelation notice to them in error what a mess can I sue and can I get an attorney to take on Indy Mac and Pg&e on contengency

It is really impossible to say whether or not you have a cause of action without reviewing the agreement itself, and all of the facts surrounding your application for modification, the handling of it, and the basis for their rejection of the agreement. What happened to you is not at all unheard of, but it doesn't mean that the lender(s) shouldn't be taken to task for misleading you. I would suggest that you contact a local attorney who is familiar with loan modifications first - just to see if they can make heads-or-tails of what happened. Then, if there are grounds to go after them, find a litigator and sue. Finding someone to take this on contingency fee may be difficult, but not necessarily impossible as this is a very new, but rapidly growing area of law. Good luck.
