Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I have a second on our home that was to be used for down payment assistance under the first time homeowners program through calhafa. we have the loan doc from calhafa and the note as does the bank. but I contacted calhfa and they said they never funded or purchaced out loan, that we dont owe them. I called our bank and explained this, and asked them to remove this from our account as we do not owe calhfa this money, I was told no because they need to see who did fund this mmoney. This loan closed on Oct of 2007, what are my options at this point?

Have you tried calling your bank to inquire what their investigation turned up?
