Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
The home I rent was foreclosed. The new owner has started eviction proceedings but I just paid my rent and had previously paid "last" month rent and security. What can I do?:

The new owner owes you the last month's rent and security. Read your lease agreement. If you have been sued for unlawful detainer, you have but 5 days to file your response or else the case is over and you lose. You may also have other rights such as the right to 90 days notice before an unlawful deatiner lawsuit is filed. Call or e-mail me if interested in legal representation.
