Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Homebuyer found major defect within first month

We bought our home 2006. After living there 1 month we found our home was infested with termites and dry rotted decks that were patched. We had a free and clear report from Termite company at closing. That company went out of business shortly after bringing this to their attention. We hired an attorney filed a lawsuit against Termite co, sellers and their agent and our agent. No one denies the damage only the scope of work and cost to replace. We have spent thousands already. The cost to fix ranges from $170K-$142K. Opposing side came in with a quote of 49K a obvious attempt cut corners and not repair or replace correctly. The termite co had liability insurance (1 million) at the time this suit was filed. We need help now! We are not rich just a hardworking honest couple seeking whats justice. If you can help please contact me.

I'm too far away, but I'd guess you'll get some offers from LawGuru attorneys in your area. You might want to look at your contract with the termite inspection company to see if it has an attorney-fee clause; this might make the case more interesting and (if you win!) cheaper for you.
