Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

How many houses can you sell in one year?

Is there a law limiting a individual from purchasing a certain amount of properties in a one year period? Also does any law state, you can not buy a home fix and resale within a few months. Do you have to wait a year before you can sell the property unless the individual has a brokers license? What if you not have a brokers license?

No, there is no such law.

However, if you fix up a property and sell it, it will be taxed ordinary income, and not capital gains. If you fix it up and hold it as a rental, you will receive capital gains treatment when you sell.
