You probably inherited the property, but we can't tell for sure without knowing whether title was held as community property or some other way, and whether your husband had a will or maybe the property was in a trust. If you now want to sell the property, my advice would be to visit a lawyer near you for an initial conference, taking with you any papers you have regarding either the property or your husband's death, These papers might include the deed, your husband's death certificate, anything relating to any mortgage or other loan on the property, and of course, his will or trust if there were one. If the estate has already gone through probate, or you used a lawyer at all in connection with his estate, use a lawyer who is already familiar with you and him. Getting some guidance from a lawyer shouldn't be too expensive and it will keep you from spinning your wheels or making a mistake.
