how do your know if you were illegally foreclosed on by chase bank?

You know you've been foreclosed on when pieces of paper called unlawful detainer lawsuits start getting attached to your front door with duct tape. The foreclosure might be "illegal," for all anybody knows, but waiting until after the foreclosure to take legal action is very risky and ill-advised. Foreclosures are as hard to set aside as they are easy to stop.
True. Also, the only way to really "know" that a foreclosure was illegal is to have a judge or jury give you a verdict which is not appealed. Short of that kind of absolute "knowing," I would say having a lawyer tell you there were major irregularities in the procedure would be some indication of illegality, but this alone does not assure that you have recourse.
