Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Injuctive Relief & Eviction

Our neighbors are being evicted (finally!) after a harrowing 8 months of severe 'bad' behavior: all night fights, public & private nuisance, drunkeness, excessive noise, drug dealing, never ending parties... the list goes on and on. (When I say 8 months, I mean EVERY weekend and at least 2 days midweek. And, yes, the police have been involved several times but, that's done very little.)

Anyway, my question is, since the bank now owns the property and they have just started eviction proceedings, is it also possible to file for injuctive relief to curb their behavior until they are out?

What would be the best way to go about this if it's a possibilty?

Thank you!

Re: Injuctive Relief & Eviction

I have found various forms of injunctive relief, including restraining orders, don't work.

Since your zip code indicates you live in Emeryville, I assume that Alameda County has a noise ordinance. I think the best way is to call your local police department and ask if they will enforce a noise ordinance.

I am sure you can research the noise ordinance(s) on the internet.

Good luck!
