Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Intent to vacate while under month to month lease.

I'm not in a written lease. I go month to month. I gave my landlord a 30 day notice to be out of the house on the 15th of the next month. Do I have to pay the full monthly rent on the last month if I'm only going to be living there for half of the month?
