Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Involuntary Lien
Hi, about 6 months ago, my husband and I bought a new house. Just days ago, the company that built it went bankrupt. We received a notice in the mail that one of the material suppliers for the house has filed an involuntary lien against us. Can they do this? And what exactly does it mean?

Re: Involuntary Lien
I would need to be retained to investigate. If you want to hire an attorney you may contact me. The lien may or may not have basis, and you may or may not have a claim against the seller, brokers, etc.
