Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Land purchase contract

I purchase a 5.5 acre parcel from a realtor--offer was accepted. Disclosure was not made to me that a parcel number had not been recorded at County Records, therefore, escrow could not close on time. I have not been able to get details from agent acting for seller on status of sub-division, or time frame for acquisition of property.

Re: Land purchase contract

Run, don't walk, to the office of a local real

estate attorney. To answer this question requires

a review of your contract and possibly many other

documents, including title reports, escrow instructions,

correspondence, etc., plus some investigation into

how this situation arose. If you're in the SF Bay

Area, please feel free to call my office for an

appointment.
