Landlord & Collections harrassment

I am being harrassed by a collections agent/law firm on behalf of my previous landlord. They have sent us several letters saying that we owe them monies for our previous apartment. We have sent them a copy of the cashed check, yet they continue to harrass us.

Please help.

consider the unfair debt collections practices act and State laws. You might have a lawsuit.
