Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

landlord double renting same property

We are currently renting a house on two acres and have been for about two and a half years. This property was co-owned when we moved in, but has since become the property of one owner. My question is; can the landlord rent out part of the property that we are renting to some one else? She has a friend who wants to store a couple of motor homes here. If something happened to the motor homes, who would be responsible, and if sometheing happened to something of ours, during this storage time, who would be responsible? We pay rent for the entire property at this time.

Re: landlord double renting same property

if you have a rental agreement covering the whole property it gives you the right to evict the motor homes.
