Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
My landlord is facing foreclosure, and has defaulted on the HOA fees. Now the HOA is coming after me for those fees. Can they do this? I never signed anything stating that I would be responsible for those fees.

The only thing I can think of is they might request that you pay your rent to them until the HOA arrears (if any) are satisfied. Your landlord is still responsible for HOA fees until the foreclosure. Then the bank becomes responsible and should catch up.
